I have been a good citizen by putting cans in our bucket and help endangered animals and giving money to the Eco kids to give to the children hospital and by not littering not steeling not cutting down trees not wasting water and not wasting electricity. By using a solar panel
Our class is a great example of what it means to be a good citizen. When everybody works together to make the world a better place good things happen. Daniel do you know of other ways to be a good citizen?
It means you are helping someone when they get hurt. A good citizens is not talking at the carpet when the teacher is talking. We're adopting endangered animal's to be good citizens.
Our endangered animal project shows what happens when people work together to help living things. So far we have adopted 18 animals on the threatened or endangered list with the WWF. Can you give me an example of what a good citizen might do to make our city a better place to live?
At school we adopt endangered animals by bringing money and puting our juice boxes in our recycling bin. I'm a good citizen because I help people when they are hurt.
My classmates are good citizens because we adopt endangered animals.Each animal is 40 dollars.At the end of the year every body gets to keep one. We get the money by recycling juice boxes.

Micah - thanks for sharing our schools efforts to raise money for the Children's Hospital. We raised over $600 by selling bracelets made by kids to kids! We are amazing citizens at St. Bede School.

I agree with you Noelle! Very nice explanation of being a good citizen. I would add that a good citizen helps out neighbours and friends when they need help. For example, shovelling snow, volunteering for fundraisers, donating food and clothes and maintaining safe parks and streets.As a nurse, I also believe being a good citizen is trying our best to be healthy parents and children, which helps us create energy, positivity and well-being.

Janelle did you know that there is a river clean up every year in Calgary? People volunteer to go down to the river and clean up the litter along the banks. I have heard that they find all sorts of interesting items. I will try to find out the date for the clean up this year.

I am responsible by cleaning my own clothes. My mom is a good citizen because she usually volunteers at school, field trips and preschool. I am trust worthy by not stealing stuff from the store but paying for it, if I borrow something from somebody I would give it back and not keep it. I can be trustful by not cheating and not keeping bad secrets like- I'm going to break our solar panel at night and keeping good secrets like a surprise birthday. I can be fair by taking one paper towel because when I take three paper towels then there wouldn't be enough paper towels for our school and it would not be fair for the whole school. Also being trustworthy means taking care of the things that you own, a sweater, a jacket and a coat and bringing them back if I lost it. Good citizen's care about others if they get hurt.
Taking care of your belongings is am important thing to do. It evens helps the Earth as clothing takes a lot of the earth's resources and it adds to pollution and other issues. I agree with you that good citizens care for others!

I am a good citizen because I always help my teacher Mrs. Belanger by putting things in the duotangs and by taking care of the Earth and picking up litter and taking care of the wildlife. I am very kind and I never bully others.
Did you know you can be a good citizen by shoveling the sidewalk in front of your own house? There is lots of old people that could get hurt on a slippery sidewalk.
Emma - have you ever heard of Snow Angels. The City of Calgary puts signs up around the city in the wintertime to remind people to help neighbors by shoveling their walks. You and your Mom came up with a good idea!
Volunteers play such an important role. We have a volunteer tea at St. Bede to show appreciation but I try really hard to say thank you every time someone volunteers in our classroom or on field trips. I see our EcoKids Club as a volunteer group - what do you think Christa?
You can be a good citizen if you say kind words to others. Another example would be volunteering helping out in sports, as it makes it fun and safe for kids to play.
We are very lucky Carina to have volunteers like your Dad helping with sports as getting outside and playing sports is a very important part of growing up. Be sure to give your Dad a hug to thank him!
You can be a good citizen by being nice to your classmates and people around you. A good citizen is considerate of other people's feelings, does not bully people, show love to friends and strangers and foremost do not capitalise on people's weaknesses to hurt them.

We wonder by asking questions. In the video I like the part when the girl says that people fart at least 14 times a day! Because it's kind of funny. Don't just look at your wonders on the computer. Explore them! We have wonders all the time! I wonder why you can't tickle your self?

I can be a good citizen by not bullying other people. I can be a good citizen by not using 1 or 2 paper towels in the bathroom and bringing the paper towel to the class room. ReplyDeleteJanelle did you know that there is a river clean up every year in Calgary? People volunteer to go down to the river and clean up the litter along the banks. I have heard that they find all sorts of interesting items. I will try to find out the date for the clean up this year.
DeleteI can be a good citizen by being respectful, by helping cleaning the floor and not playing hard and treating all the things in our class room carefully ! I treat other people how I want to be treated ! I use good manners when I speak.

DeleteI am responsible by cleaning my own clothes. My mom is a good citizen because she usually volunteers at school, field trips and preschool. I am trust worthy by not stealing stuff from the store but paying for it, if I borrow something from somebody I would give it back and not keep it. I can be trustful by not cheating and not keeping bad secrets like- I'm going to break our solar panel at night and keeping good secrets like a surprise birthday. I help create a better world by planting trees at home and at school we adopt endangered animals.I don't bully my teacher. I listen.

DeleteI'm a good citizen by helping others when they get hurt! When I get bullied I will stand up for myself. If somebody got teased I would say stop its not funny! It would be awesome if every one of you each had a tree! It would help the world. Fair is when someone dose not cheat. When someone hands out the same amount of cards they are fair.

DeleteI can be fair by taking one paper towel because when I take three paper towels then there wouldn't be enough paper towels for our school and it would not be fair for the whole school. Also being trustworthy means taking care of the things that you own, a sweater, a jacket and a coat and bringing them back if I lost it. Good citizen's care about others if they get hurt.

DeleteI can be a good citizen by being respectful ,trustworthy,caring,responsible,fair,and more I can pick-up litter that isn't mine I can tell people not to throw litter anywhere they want and there is more ways.Being a good citizen is not only for picking up-stuff it's also for being a good friend,telling the truth and more a part of being a good citizen is to not be a bully.In order to be a good citizen is to be patient if your not patient for alot of things it will be bad because you can make people sad,cry,or worried. you can be a good citizen by sharing if you have alot of toys you should share with them if you said no they can't play with them you are being a bad citizen if it's for a ceitain thing like it's broken or the hair is fallingout just tell them.

Emma - have you ever heard of Snow Angels. The City of Calgary puts signs up around the city in the wintertime to remind people to help neighbors by shoveling their walks. You and your Mom came up with a good idea!

ReplyDeleteVolunteers play such an important role. We have a volunteer tea at St. Bede to show appreciation but I try really hard to say thank you every time someone volunteers in our classroom or on field trips. I see our EcoKids Club as a volunteer group - what do you think Christa?
DeleteYou can be a good citizen if you say kind words to others. Another example would be volunteering helping out in sports, as it makes it fun and safe for kids to play.

DeleteWe wonder by asking questions. In the video I like the part when the girl says that people fart at least 14 times a day! Because it's kind of funny. Don't just look at your wonders on the computer. Explore them! We have wonders all the time! I wonder why you can't tickle your self?
