Winds of L'Acadie by Lois Donavon
Hi Boys and Girls - I wonder if you are as sad as I am that we are done reading this wonderful novel? I have been so impressed with your enthusiasm and interest. The world of the Acadians came alive as we lived life through the eyes of Sarah, Luke and Ann and her family. Please comment on your favourite parts and tell me what you learned, loved or wondered. Can't wait to read your thoughts!

Landmark Photo Challenge!

Here is a challenge to all who are interested.  We have been learning about landmarks both in Calgary and in other communities. We know that the Calgary Tower is a landmark for Calgary and that the Inuksuk is a landmark in Iqaluit. I am wondering if you can find landmarks for other cities and post a picture and the name of the city and landmark. I will start us off with a picture of a landmark that I am going to see in June. You might have trouble inserting a photo - if you do, please type in the link to the picture or send me the photo by email and I can insert it.
