  1. Germans used the tower as a lookout during world war ll.
    The Allies knew this but decided against bombing the area
    due to the impressive beauty of the tower and cathedral.

    1. Well Daniel - I just learned something new. I saw the Leaning Tower and visited the buildings around it that were bombed - there was a lot of amazing frescoes that were destroyed during the war.When we were there they were repairing the tower so we couldn't go up it!

  3. Daniel the reason why its called the leaning tower is because it is different heights on either side. 55.86m from the ground on the low side and 56.67m on the high side. And if you look at it on the 55.86m side it looks like it will fall on you!!!!!!!
